While a foreign intervention is being pushed, and as thousands flee Haiti due to rampant insecurity and armed violence, I wrote and photographed for The New Humanitarian a story about those who are instead, choosing to stay speaking with educators, human rights activists to community leaders, doctors and filmmakers who are trying to make a difference.
